Job Description

My client, who designs, develops and manufactures complex electro-optical systems, modules and components, now seeks an Experienced Optical Designer. 

As part of the Optical Design Team, you will have a strong interest in the design of advanced optical system across a wide variety of applications 

Person Specification

Within this role you will be responsible for the design of a wide range of optical products.  You will be involved with all stages of the design process, including defining target specifications with the customer, development of concepts, detailing design analysis, through to support of the manufacturing, assembly and test processes. 

As a successful candidate you will be degree qualified or higher, in a Physics or relevant engineering discipline, although a Masters Degree in Optics would be a considerable advantage. 

You should also have a minimum of 3 years relevant post graduate experience in a similar role. You will also be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, along with the drive and focus to supply results. 

Candidates should be experienced with optical design software such as Zemax
