Job Description

Due to continued growth, my client, who is a global provider of optical solutions to defence, medical, security and industrial customers, is now looking for a further Technical Sales/Business Development Manager to join their group. 

Based in my clients head quarters in North Wales you will be responsible for obtaining, assessing and developing effective business relationships. 

Person Specification

You will lead the preparation and submission of bids, quotes and proposals, as well as undertaking market research for product and strategy decisions. 

The role will include a mix of account management and new business as well as providing both pre and post sales support. 

Candidates should be able to show a track record of success in a similar business role, and be able to show the drive an ambition required to further develop my client’s market presence. 

In addition to this you should have excellent presentation, influencing and relationship building skills, and have the confidence and credibility to influence business performance. 

You should be educated to a minimum of HNC level in an engineering or scientific discipline. Although not essential candidates with experience of military/defence related technologies and bid management experience will have a distinct advantage. In return my client is offering an excellent opportunity to join a world leading group, along with a very competitive salary, and future prospects. 

Due to the nature of the work, we would generally require candidates to fulfil the following criteria: You must be born or naturalised British citizen and one of your parents must be a British citizen or have substantial ties to the UK.

Candidates must have been resident in the UK for 5 years immediately prior to their application; this is particularly important if you were born outside the UK.
