Laser Beam Products, a UK-based manufacturer of infrared mirrors, has invested more than £100k in the installation of several new test equipment machines as part of a factory makeover.
Mark Wilkinson, managing director of Laser Beam Products, said: 'To ensure that we maintain this best-in-class standard we felt it vital to invest in the latest technology to guarantee the continuation of this high specification that our customers have come to expect.'
The facility includes a second phase shifting interferometer to measure flatness to 1/10 of a wavelength for military customers, who demand copies of test results for every individual part. Also included is a measuring microscope for surface quality with custom designed illumination for highly reflective surfaces and a Class 100 laminar flow booth for inspection and packing.
