The newest addition to Coherent’s Genesis family of lasers for life sciences is the model CX 355 STM Compact, specifically targeted for space-restricted OEM instrumentation applications.
The Genesis CX 355 STM Compact is a continuous wave, 355nm laser with TEM00 beam quality, scaled down by 50 per cent in size as compared to existing Genesis OEM ultraviolet lasers. It is available with output powers of up to 100mW (standard model available up to 250mW), while the laser head measures only 250 x 51 x 138mm.
Based on Coherent’s optically pumped semiconductor laser technology, Genesis lasers are a solid-state alternative to ion lasers for applications needing continuous wave, ultraviolet output.
