The Akela Laser corporation has announced the release of its laser diode modules based on the company’s long wavelength laser diodes, from 1030nm to 1950nm.
The first of a series of laser modules and other products that Akela will be releasing over the next six months, these entry-level modules are designed for both 200µm and 400µm 0.22NA fibres, and provide up to 20W at continuous wave. Future releases of laser modules will include increasingly higher power levels as well as modules with built-in accessories such as photodetectors, aiming beams, blast shields, and fibre sensors.
