Laser Components’ partner LG Innotek has developed a powerful 70mW UVC LED out of a single element for use in sterilisation applications such as disinfecting air, water, and surfaces. The UVC wavelength can also be used for curing purposes.
Parameters such as forward current (If) and forward voltage (Vf) of the new LED have not changed from previous models, as the improved light emission is based on new LED chip technology. Additionally, despite the semiconductor being modified, the new UVC LED exhibits the same quality, lifetime, stability, and reliability of previous models.
