“I am leading a pioneering research group in Pakistan which works on III-V light-emitting diodes and laser diodes from the ultraviolet to infrared spectrum,” says Muhammad Usman, an Associate Professor at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology.

“We are the only research group in Pakistan which published our energy-saving projections for the three most populous countries in the region i.e., Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh.”
