Dresden hosts successful Plastic Electronics conference

The Plastic Electronics Foundation has hailed as a success its Plastic Electronics conference and showcase, held from 27-29 October 2009 at the Maritim conference centre in Dresden, Germany. The three-day show attracted more than 400 attendees, 30 sponsors and exhibitors, and 30 academic posters. In addition, the event hosted the presentation of the coveted Plastic Electronics Awards for Innovation. The foundation says that the show provided a valuable opportunity for science and industry to meet and discuss collaboration, in order to move the industry forward.

The Plastic Electronics Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation founded by Ed van den Kieboom, who is well-known within the plastic electronics industry. The main objective of the foundation is the promotion of the technology of printable, organic-based flexible electronics into marketable applications and products worldwide.
