Klastech Laser Technologies has launched its new Concerto 442nm solid state laser, offering Gaussian beam quality and ultra low noise at output powers of 100mW and above. The laser has applications in the biofluorescence market, in which its 442nm wavelength is widely used.
The laser offers inherent single frequency performance making suitable for Raman and other spectroscopy applications in which diode lasers typically lack the necessary narrow line width. The laser also offers a coherence length of more than 100m, making it suitable for applications in holography, disc mastering and rapid prototyping - applications that have previously been reliant on large He-Cd lasers.
