Jenoptik Laserdiode has launched a new passively-cooled, fibre-coupled diode laser with a significantly higher brightness and a substantially reduced volume than the preview fiber-coupled diode lasers. The new fibre-coupled diode laser is very small, compact and powerful with up to 30W from the fibre featuring core diameters between 0.1 and 0.4mm (NA 0.22). The standard wavelengths are 808, 915, 938 and 976nm. Additional diode laser offers a temperature sensor at the housing and an optical fibre as pigtail and a SMA connector with pluggable fibre respectively.

The high-brightness, fibre-coupled diode laser is opening up new fields of applications in direct materials processing and pumping of solid state lasers and fibre lasers, as well as in medical applications.
