Laser Components now distributes the INTX08-0300 wideband infrared emitter manufactured by Intex. The 1-20µm high efficiency emitter is capable of pulsing at up to 200Hz, with a typical operating voltage of 2.2V, resistance of 20.8 Ohms at 750 ºC operating temperature, and electrical power consumption of 105mW.
The emitter offers an impressive 100 per cent modulation depth at 10Hz, falling to 50 per cent at 140Hz, meaning that the device is a fast IR light source compared to non-membrane alternatives. Packaged in TO-18 housings with a choice of reflector and a range of IR window materials, these emitters feature long lifetime, while maintaining very stable resistance and high operating temperature.
The wideband IREs are ideal IR sources for a range of applications including, gas sensors, photo acoustic analysers, MIR beacons, and a range of measurement and calibration equipment within the 1-20µm waveband.
