The M-122 from Physik Instrumente palm-top-sized precision translation stage combines small dimensions, high speeds and high accuracy at a competitive price. It features a small, folded drive train with the servo motor and drive screw side by side.
Equipped with an optical linear encoder and a preloaded, precision-ground, ball-screw, it provides higher accuracy and better repeatability than conventional stepper motor stages or rotary encoder-equipped servo motor stages.
The encoder has a 0.1µm resolution for highly accurate movement. Its maximum velocity is 20mm/s, with a travel range of 25mm.
