Analog Modules has announced the release of its high current pulsed laser diode driver, model 773.
The model 773 is a low-cost, highly compact low voltage DC input power converter/laser diode driver designed to supply high pulsed current for laser diode-stack loads. Pulsed output current is 100A with 25s rise time into diode-stacks of 2-5V (up to 3ms pulse width for Er:glass) (18-24V load version under development) at an average power to the load of 1.0W. Performance over temperature is guaranteed from -32°C to +55°C.
The driver weighs only 2.1 oz. and is ideally suited for range finding applications. The unit does not require a heat sink and offers open circuit and short circuit protection.
