Hamamatsu Photonics has developed a multi-alkali photocathode that will provide near-infrared sensitivity for its Micro PMT. The Micro PMT is a compact photomultiplier device that is manufactured with semiconductor manufacturing technology and can be produced in high volumes.
The newest version of the Micro PMT, featuring the new multi-alkali photocathode, will be available as three products: the H12400-01-01 Micro PMT assembly with built-in voltage divider circuit, and the H12403/H12402 series Micro PMT modules with built-in ultra-compact power supply. Each product is designed to be integrated into instruments, and is expected to help the development of high-precision personal-use instruments in applications such as medical diagnostics and environmental monitoring.
