Nanostack pulsed laser diodes

The variety of pulsed laser diodes (PLDs) provided by Laser Components has increased to meet numerous market demands. Its Nanostack laser technology at 905nm now includes several epitaxially integrated emitters. The diodes are stacked to achieve peak output power levels between 70W and 210W.

These PLDs are optimised for applications such as ceilometry or lidar, in which long distances (much greater than one kilometre) are measured. For shorter distances, this technology is also available with a 75µm emitter. The smaller emitting area allows the output power (12W) to be more easily coupled into a fibre and combined with micro-optics.
