Optical parametric amplifier

Share this on social media:

Femtolasers is now offering the first MHz optical parametric amplifier directly pumped by the company’s XL oscillator. The system delivers tens of nJ pulse energy in the MIR spectral range at a repetition rate of 5MHz. An optional SHG module is available for the signal beam and provides tuneable pulses in the visible range. The high repetition rate of the system significantly reduces data acquisition times and noise, a huge advantage especially for imaging applications. The use of an oscillator as pump source obviates the need for a complex amplifier system and significantly reduces operating complexity and total cost of ownership.
