4D Technology has introduced the PhaseCam 6000, a compact and lightweight, Twyman-Green interferometer for measurement of optics and optical systems. With an easy-to-position, fibre-coupled measurement head and motorised controls, the PhaseCam 6000 is ideal for on-machine metrology, remote mounting in measurement towers or pressure vessels, and other challenging applications and environments.
The PhaseCam 6000 utilises dynamic interferometry to acquire all measurement information in a single exposure. The near-instantaneous measurement speed makes the PhaseCam insensitive to vibration and air turbulence, enabling measurement in noisy environments such as clean rooms and manufacturing facilities. Its immunity to air turbulence makes it possible to accurately measure long radius-of-curvature optics, where the instrument may be located tens of metres from the test optic.
The interferometer includes 4Sight analysis software, which provides extensive 2D, 3D and Zernike analysis options, as well as data filtering, masking, database and import/export functions.
Applications for the interferometer include measurement of large, focal optical systems such as concave telescope mirrors and lens systems, as well as deformable mirrors and adaptive optics. Numerous accessories and options are available including mounts, diverging lenses and beam expanders.
