Techspec Raman Edge Filters

Edmund Optics has launched its redesigned Techspec Raman edge filters for Raman spectroscopy, confocal microscopy and life science Instrumentation.

They provide single filter solutions to reduce spectral noise in Stokes shift applications. Techspec Raman edge filters use a hard coated design for transmission characteristics compared to traditional coated filters. They are designed to create sharp transitions between transmitted Raman signals and blocked laser wavelengths. The filters feature steep edges, which are ideal for detecting even the smallest Raman shifts.

Techspec Raman edge filters provide transition widths of less than 1 per cent. The transition width is the maximum spectral bandwidth between the blocked laser line and the 50 per cent transmission point of the filter. This feature makes angle-tuning unnecessary, greatly simplifying system setup and implementation. The filters deliver high transmission, typically greater than 93 per cent, which allows weak signals to be detected. Techspec Raman edge filters are available in 355nm and 785nm wavelengths, with diameters of 12.5, 25 and 50mm. The edge filters are in-stock and available for immediate delivery for fast turnaround and excellent value.
