Aculight has launched Telesto, which is a family of rugged, high-peak-power, polarised, pulsed fibre lasers with output at 1µm.
Telesto lasers also provide high-peak-power output over a wide repetition rate range from a single, hermetically sealed, low-jitter source. In addition, Telesto lasers’ polarised output allows users to employ polarisation in addition to wavelength as a way of discriminating objects in an image.
Aculight’s standard Telesto laser, Model P36L-1064, produces 3 to 5ns pulses at repetition rates from 20kHz to 750kHz with 4W of average power (>50kHz).
Maximum pulse energy is 80mJ; peak power is 25kW. The unit’s 1µm output is less than 1.5 times the diffraction limit. Telesto P36L-1064 measures just 2.6 x 6 x 7 inches and weighs less than eight pounds. Custom configurations are also available.
