Menlo Systems has introduced Tera-Lyzer, the new terahertz data evaluation software developed by Lytera for THz time-domain spectroscopy data analysis. Tera-Lyzer allows the investigation of sub-100μm samples without the need for a differential measuring setup. The software has multiple step procedures starting with THz-TDS data being imported and prepared for evaluation by a pre-processor. Next, the sample thickness is estimated and the analysis parameters and error bars are evaluated. Finally, a precision determination of the sample thickness with the use of Fabry-Perot reflections occurs. Menlo Systems says a large variety of samples can be measured, even very thin samples, such as a 28μm PA6 film.
