Tuning Fork Resonant Choppers

New York-based EOPC has introduced its Tuning Fork Resonant Choppers, a beam-chopping device for laser applications, featuring a single fixed frequency of between 10Hz and 6kHz. The device is suitable for apertures up to 10mm, and offers frequency stability of up to 0.005 per cent and amplitude stability of less than 0.01 per cent. The device is described as rugged, shock-proof, and compact, and is able to function at temperatures between cryogenic and 200°C or in a vacuum. Metal vanes are standard on the device, but mirrors, prisms and lenses are optional.
