Laser Components also represents InfraTec, which produces a line of cost-effective, high-performance pyroelectric infrared sensors for a variety of commercial, industrial and military applications.
The standard range includes detectors based on 3 chip sizes: 1.4 x 1.0 mm², 2.0 x 2.0 mm², and 3.0 x 3.0 mm². Traditional types of current and voltage mode are available for all chip sizes. The small chip is used when space is limited. Its housing has a diameter of just 4.7mm. The mid-sized chip is the standard size and has a housing diameter of 8.2mm. The large chip is used primarily for security applications. By integrating a CMOS preamplifier into the housing the current mode can now be used on a standard basis, giving a huge improvement in thermal stability.
