Carlo Holly conducts research to build between the real and virtual worlds in the field of photonics. His aim is to combine interdisciplinary competences from data science and optical technologies to unleash innovative solutions and open new research topics – such as in the field of optical neural networks (ONNs) or for self-learning manufacturing machines. Prof Holly’s mission is the research, design, and technical realisation of optical systems in laser technology and the transfer of photonic solutions into industry.
