As Director of Strathclyde University’s Institute of Photonics, Prof Jennifer Hastie leads a research team with core interest in optically pumped semiconductor lasers and solid-state lasers for high spatial and spectral brightness and broad tunability at novel wavelengths. 

The team is currently developing ultra-coherent, wavelength-versatile lasers for applications in quantum technology.
