Parents are the biggest influencers of children's choices and we don't talk enough about their role in driving the take-up of STEM subjects to help solve the recruitment issues in photonics.
That was the message coming from Carol Monaghan, MP for Glasgow North West and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Photonics, at Photonex.
