Photonic Solutions is to distribute the Pharos and Orpheus ultrafast laser systems from Light Conversion in the UK and Ireland. These femtosecond lasers are designed for industrial and scientific applications.
This new agreement between the two parties strengthens an already existing long-term relationship between Photonic Solutions and Light Conversion based on sales of Light Conversion’s original ultrafast product - the Topas, tunable fs/ps OPA in the UK and Ireland during the past 10 years.
Established in 1994, as a spin-off from Vilnius University Laser Research Center, Light Conversion is a private company now employing more than 70. The company is based in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, and has built its reputation on ultrafast laser expertise.
The Pharos is an all-new, rugged, industrial design of femtosecond laser aimed at both industrial and scientific customers. Primary applications are in material processing and micromachining, but coupled with Orpheus, its dedicated wavelength tunable parametric amplifier, the Pharos systems become a powerful scientific tool for ultrafast spectroscopy applications.
