Optima Research, the European distributor for Zemax optical design software, has appointed Neil Barrett as general manager. He will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business and the continual development of the services offered.
Barrett has worked at Optima Research as both a technical sales engineer and optical engineer. He has a physics degree from Loughborough University and an MSc in Optics and Photonics from Imperial College, London.
Optima Research has also appointed Damien Giramondo as technical sales engineer. He has a degree in optoelectronics from Victoria University of Technology, Melbourne, and has a keen interest in optical design. Damien will be involved in sales and technical support of Zemax.
