Power Technology is now a North American distributor of laser diode manufacturer Quantum Semiconductor International (QSI).
QSI’s product range includes single mode laser diodes from 635-905nm providing short wavelengths, high optical and electrical quality, long reliability, and low operation current consumption. Applications include industrial, military, 3D motion recognition, positioning, measurement, and scanning.
‘Our plans to grow our laser diode business and better serve our rapidly expanding North American customer base will benefit tremendously from the addition of QSI’s laser diodes,’ stated Walter Burgess, vice president of sales and marketing at Power Technology. ‘The ability to stock the product will also allow us to quickly fulfil orders and provide increased customer service.’
Power Technology (PTI) currently offers a wide variety of high performance laser diodes that range from 405-2,000nm. Besides QSI lasers, PTI also offers diodes from Osram, Oclaro, Eagleyard, and M2K Laser with output power ranges of 1mW-10W. These diodes are ideal for use in standard or rugged OEM environments in applications from positioning and alignment to barcode reading.
