Cobolt, a Swedish manufacturer of low-noise DPSS lasers, has announced an extension of its standard warranty of 18 months to 24 months on all 04-01 model lasers.
The company’s proprietary HTCure manufacturing technology, introduced two years ago, has exceeded the company's expectations in terms of the robustness and reliability of its high performance DPSS laser range. This has translated into the extended 24-months warranty on 04-01 models, valid from 1 January 2010.
Lasers built using the company's HTCure technology have been shown to withstand multiple 60g mechanical shocks without any sign of degraded performance. The lasers can be exposed to extreme temperatures (>100°C), and are insensitive to pressure and humidity.
Cobolt now offers a complete range of high performance, low noise DPSS lasers: 355nm, 457nm, 473nm, 491nm, 515nm, 532nm, 561nm, and 594nm lasers are currently available at output powers from 25 to 1000mW.
