Cobolt has introduced modulation capability on the diode pumped lasers (DPL) in the green-yellow region of the Cobolt 06-01 Series of plug-and-play CW lasers. The 06-DPLs are available at 532nm and 561nm with up to 200mW output power and offer both analogue and digital direct intensity modulation at up to 50kHz.
The 06-DPL lasers complement the modulated diode lasers (MLDs) already available in the Cobolt 06-01 Series, which offer a combination of modulation extinction ratios (>10,000,000:1) and high speed (up to 150MHz). Together, the 06-MLD and 06-DPL lasers in the Cobolt 06-01 Series offer a complete spectrum of directly modulatable wavelengths from 405nm to 660nm in a compact form factor, ideal for demanding life science applications.
All Cobolt lasers are manufactured using proprietary HTCure technology and the resulting compact hermetically sealed package provides a high level of immunity to varying environmental conditions along with high reliability. Lasers built using the HTCure technology have been shown to withstand multiple 60G mechanical shocks in operation without any sign of degraded performance.
