iXFiber, the French manufacturer of specialty fibres and fibre optic components, has introduced a family of Yb double clad ‘2CF’ fibres, free of photo darkening effects, designed for laser devices operating at 1μm.
These fibres exhibit high conversion efficiency and feature high pump absorption. The family will be soon expanded with the addition of several LMA fibres with their associated PM versions.
iXFiber has also introduced a new family of FBG mirrors for LMA based high-power fibre laser cavities. These mirrors are written on large core double clad LMA fibres (up to 25μm) and, when delivered in matched pairs, exhibit excellent wavelength matching. They can be delivered in high-power packages.
