ProPhotonix has released the 3D Pro variable focus laser as an extension to its structured light laser product portfolio.
The laser is an externally focusable, 19mm diameter industry-standard laser module with line widths ranging from 30µm to 120mm. It is able to produce a number of beam shape options and possible wavelengths ranging from the UV to the infrared with power levels up to 100mW. The adjustable external focus allows users to fine-tune the laser, preserve factory set alignment and maintain bore sight settings while the lock-in mechanism maintains desired focal distance.
The laser is compatible with the majority of existing machine vision applications including 3D measurement, dimensional scanning, positioning, high speed sorting, and inspection.
