JDSU has released the 54xx Series Near Infrared Single Mode Diode Laser and 24xx Series Near Infrared and High Brightness Multi Mode Diode Laser.
The 54xx Series Near Infrared Single Mode Diode Laser offers the highest available power at 200mW in the industry standard TO-56 package at 810, 830 and 850 nm.
The 24xx Series Near Infrared and High Brightness Multi Mode Diode Laser offers 5.0W of power from a 100um emitter at 808nm wavelengths. These are offered in industry standard 'C-mount' packages, TO-56 and SOT-148 package as well as high heat load planar substrates. JDSU is also sampling its highest power 808nm chip at 8.5W with interested customers.
Both lasers have been developed in industry standard packaging formats and leverage JDSU's telecom-grade design and processes to provide high performing, reliable and power efficient solutions for OEMs.
The two product lines can be used for the following markets and applications: night vision illumination, digitalised medical printing, water analysis and solid state laser pumping.
