4D Technology, manufacturer of optical metrology systems, has introduced the AccuFiz 6 megapixel laser interferometer, for measuring steep slopes, aspheric surfaces and small diameter optics.
Its 2,400 x 2,400 pixel sensor doubles the measurable spatial frequency range and quadruples the sampling capability of standard interferometers. The added resolution makes it possible to measure surface shape earlier in the manufacturing process, to capture polishing marks despite steep slopes, and to measure spherical/aspherical optics and moulds with accuracy.
The AccuFiz product line offers a range of laser sources, aperture sizes, mounting components and accessories to address a variety of applications. Optional Dynamic Interferometry mode can make measurements despite vibration and air turbulence, without an air table.
