Opto Diode has released a Photodiode-Preamplifier ODA-6WB-500M.

Featuring extremely low noise, high sensitivity and a large active area, the combination device is the third in the family of blue/green enhanced photodiode-preamplifiers.  With sensitivity response at 450 nm, typically 140 V/µW (min. 100), the detector operates between 400 nm and 1,100 nm, with peak spectral frequency at 940nm.  The ODA-6WB-500M features a transimpedance gain of 500Mohm, with custom gains also available upon customer request.  Opto Diode’s preamp combo is ideal for fluorescence detection and low-light-level medical diagnostic applications.

Hermetically sealed in a standard TO-39 housing, the photodetector-preamplifier combo is easy to integrate into your current system or can be quickly adapted to a custom configuration.  Storage and operating temperatures range from minus 25 degrees to 100 degrees C and withstand a soldering temperature (1/16 inch from the case for three seconds maximum) up to 260 degrees C.
