Applied Scintillation Technologies (AST) has launched the USB-operated Digital CamIR 1550, the latest addition to its infrared product range. The near infrared digital camera utilises a high resolution CCD array, which had been specially coated with an IR phosphor to sensitise it to NIR wavelengths. With an effective response between 1500nm and 1600nm, and at a lower cost than other competing technologies, the Digital CamIR 1550 is an ideal solution for laser alignment, telecommunication testing and various inspection applications.
The USB 2.0 operated Digital CamIR 1550 is sold with a software development kit (SDK) and can be used without a lens for real time imaging.
