Synrad has released its Firestar v30, 30W CO2 laser. Designed for rugged industrial environments, the Firestar v30 combines high performance with compact size and air-cooling, making it suitable for OEM marking and engraving systems. Available at a low cost, as an air-cooled model only (with or without fans installed), the v30 integrates easily into compact systems.
The v30's resonator technology produces a circular beam (typical M2=1.1) in both the near and far field. This beam can be focused to a small spot size, thereby creating the high power density on a work surface, resulting in high processing speeds. The v30's compact size, and low cost also make it suitable for medical applications. For higher power requirements, Synrad offers the 40W Firestar v40.
