Fisba Optik has released the Fisba Beam Twister. The unit provides an almost symmetrical beam profile. The FBT unit can be implemented for fibre coupling of diode laser bars.
The FBT unit twists the beam using a FAC lens with a beam rotating lens array for nearly diffraction limited collimation and high efficiency. It twists the beam from each emitter to give a round beam profile.
The laser power can be coupled with an efficiency of more than 80 per cent from the laser facet to the fibre output in fibres with a diameter of 400μm and more than 70 per cent in fibres with a diameter of 200μm.
The flexible design of the FBT unit offers the customer a multitude of executions for laser diodes in regard to pitch and emitter, customised to his specific application.
