Coherent’s new Flare is a pulsed laser with three wavelength versions available: near infrared (1064nm), green (532nm) and ultraviolet (355nm). The UV model is for MALDI-TOF applications serviced by legacy nitrogen lasers, as well as for many laser microdissection applications. For example, the Flare at 355nm, delivers a TEM00 output mode of M²<2 and a pulse energy of 30 microjoules.
The Flare series comes to Coherent as a result of its acquisition of Innolight and becomes part of Coherent’s growing family of short-pulse diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers.
