GA640C-15A

Goodrich has introduced the GA640C-15A shortwave infrared (SWIR) camera. With a volume less than one cubic inch, weighing only 26g without its lens, and consuming 1.5W, the camera is ideal for integration into handheld, helmet, or weapon-mounted surveillance devices and unmanned aircraft. The camera features 640 x 512 pixel resolution with a 15µm pitch.

The Camera Link digital output offers plug-and play, 12-bit imagery for viewing, digital processing and/or transmission. The uncooled SWIR detector images in real-time video (30Hz), daylight to low light, through smoke, haze, and fog conditions. It operates without temperature stabilisation using non-uniformity corrections parameterised over temperatures. It also provides on-board automatic gain control for hands-free operation.

Goodrich’s SWIR C-platform model operates from 0.9 to 1.7µm and the optional near infrared camera model extends the spectral response to include 0.7 to 1.7µm. The camera operates in a wide temperature range from -35°C to +71°C.
