Dilas has expanded its range of horizontal stacked arrays, now available with between 2 and 13 bars, at 808nm and 940nm. The arrays are primarily intended as a line source for side pumping of solid-state lasers.
The compact arrays give high-power output while offering simplified water-cooling requirements. The low thermal resistance of the package and efficient cooling permits CW operation at high output power levels, or QCW operation at up to 50 per cent duty factor. These powerful arrays can be arranged in either a side-by-side arrangement or any other custom pattern, in order to deliver maximum power density needed for the application. The arrays are rated with a mean time to failure (MTTF) of more than 20,000. Custom configurations and additional wavelengths are available.
