HTCure

Cobolt, Swedish manufacturer of DPSS lasers, is showcasing a new family of nanosecond pulsed lasers and tunable mid-IR lasers.

The proprietary manufacturing technique, HTCure, has enabled the company to readily turn complicated laser designs into compact industrial laser solutions. The new mid-IR optical parametric oscillator (OPO) is no exception, the company says.

The OPO about to hit the market has a footprint of 125 x 70 x 45mm, contains both the ns pump source and the OPO and is tunable up to 50nm around a selected centre wavelength between 2 and 5mm with up to 80mW average powers. The passively Q-switched ns pump lasers are also available at 355nm, 532nm and 1064nm with <5ns pulse widths at 7kHz pulse frequency and <1.0W average power. The new pulsed lasers are targeting environmental monitoring, gas detection, material processing, MALDI-TOF, micro dissection and LIBS applications.
