Gentec EO has introduced its Mach-5 model energy meter, which it claims is the fastest energy meter available operating at 130kHz. The device was developed to meet the real time monitoring demands of several of the company's customers using pulsed DPSS lasers in the 30-50kHz range. The meter features high speed pyroelectric probes that can be used to measure energy at more than 100,000Hz, and fast digital electronics capable of capturing and storing every pulse.
As well as operating at up to 130kHz, the Mach-5 can capture and store up to four million pulses (40 seconds of data at 100kHz). The device can measure energy, frequency, average power and pulse jitter, displaying the data in a strip chart, histogram or statistics window.
