Laser Components has introduced a fibre stripping tool specifically designed with medical applications in mind. The company's MediStrip fibre strippers are available for all common types of optical fibre, and all models are suitable for sterilisation in an autoclave. To distinguish strippers for different fibre diameters, MediStrip products come with colour-coded handles; the blue model is well suited to fibres with a buffer diameter of 125µm, whereas the red models are available for fibre diameters from 200µm to 1,000µm.
