Laser Components has released the PSM2-45, a two dimensional position sensing module (PSM) with an active area of 45 x 45mm. The PSM2-45 is an analogue device which functions according to the Lateral Effect Photodiode principle. As such, the PSM displays excellent resolution with positional accuracies of up to 1.25µm. The module has a standard wavelength response range of 400-100nm, or, for UV detection, a 200-400nm version is available.
The PSM2-45 features an RS232 port which is plug-and-play compatible with Laser Components’ range of position sensing detector amplifier boards to create a solution for alignment tasks and projects.
