Laser Components will distribute long-wavelength high-power laser diodes from SemiNex, operating at 14xx and 15xx wavelengths. Standard wavelengths are 1,450nm, 1,470nm, 1,535nm and 1,550nm with output power per single-chip as high as 6W.
The chips are available in standard packages including a compact fibre-coupled module, C-mount, B-mount or sub-mount. For improved reliability at high operating power, engineers have developed a product called the Laser Engine, which uses a high-power single-emitter laser in a low-cost package with radial heat sink and fan. Laser Components will optimise the design of chips and packaging to meet the user's optical, electrical, and mechanical performance specifications.
