SensL has launched its SPMMatrix silicon photomultiplier based imaging system for applications such as nuclear medicine, homeland security and high energy physics. The system incorporates is everything that is needed to image with silicon photomultipliers into a single product; along with 256 silicon photomultiplier channels, the device features full readout and data acquisition electronics.
With better uniformity than PMT-based systems, insensitivity to magnetic fields, and simplified electronics through cross-wire technology, the SPMMatrix is alows both research and OEM customers to evaluate and incorporate silicon photomultipliers for real world applications.
