Edmund Optics has introduced Techspec OD 6 laser-line bandpass filters. These versatile filters provide the high transmission and deep rejection necessary to isolate narrow spectral regions for use in a wide variety of applications.
The filters are fabricated using ‘hard’ ion-beam sputtering technology, which gives high performance and durability. The filters achieve greater than 90 per cent transmission at their specified design laser wavelength. They offer impressive blocking of greater than 6.0 optical density at ±1.5 per cent of the laser wavelength.
The bandpass filters are designed to offer maximum transmission of stimulated emission, while eliminating noisy spontaneous emission. They provide a full width half maximum (FWHM) as narrow as 2nm. They are excellent for use in laser-based fluorescence instrumentation and Raman spectroscopy, as well as in analytical and medical laser systems. The filters are available with centre wavelengths of 532nm, 785nm and 1,064nm with diameters of 12.5mm and 25mm.
