Fiberguide Industries has launched new shaped tip fibres and fibre assemblies, which provide optimum control over laser light during medical procedures. The conical, ball, radiused, chiseled and angular fibre ends are suitable for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), optical-coherence tomography-guided (OCT) and photodynamic therapy (PDT) laser treatments.
The tip fibres are created using Fiberguide’s proprietary design software and fibre processing techniques. The tips allow customers to shape the outgoing beam and increase the efficiency of light collection. Customised designs are also available.
