Sonia Garcia Blanco, CSO, ALUVia Photonics, and University of Twente
After education in Madrid and Glasgow and post-doctoral work in Toronto, Sonia Garcia Blanco has spent the past decade at the University of Twente in the Netherlands.
As well being a full professor at the university, she is also the co-founder and CSO of the university’s ALUVia project, which aims to establish the first European Al2O3-on-SiO2 (aluminium oxide on silicon dioxide) integrated photonic platform for operation in the ultraviolet (UV) wavelength region.
